The Clifford Danielson Award continues to honor those who exemplify the best of Sycamore.  Strong business leadership, civic responsibility, and a lasting commitment to making our community thrive.

Established in 1986, this annual award commemorates Clifford Danielson, a respected entrepreneur and visionary who shaped Sycamore’s business landscape for nearly 70 years. The award celebrates individuals who continue his legacy through their dedication to business excellence, community growth, and civic engagement.

Nominations must be submitted in writing to the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce by January 1, 2026, to be considered. The award recipient will be honored during the Sycamore Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Celebration on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Nominees should embody leadership, innovation, and integrity in both business and community service.
~ To qualify, individuals must be residents of the greater Sycamore area or be actively involved in the
Sycamore community if not currently residing here.
~ They must have demonstrated at least 15 years of stable and consistent leadership within the
business community.
~ They must have made significant contributions to strengthening Sycamore’s business environment
and enhancing the local quality of life.
~ Eligible nominees will have advanced and supported the business, industrial, and professional
interests of Sycamore.
~ Implemented innovative ideas or improvements that benefit local commerce and civic initiatives
~ Led efforts that foster growth in the community’s business, industrial, or residential sectors.
~ Built strong, collaborative relationships among businesses, industries, and professionals.
